patriot hospitality adds hotel development to expanding community
located at the city of altoona’s east interchange with interstate 80, the new hampton inn & suites hotel provides much-needed lodging accommodations for a growing community. texas-based patriot hospitality recognized the need for more hotel options along this busy corridor and partnered with snyder & associates to develop the site to meet the hampton inn standards.
situated on a 3.2-acre site in the new, eastpointe parkway neighborhood, this four-story hotel includes 90 rooms, a business center with meeting rooms, an indoor pool, and a well-appointed fitness center. the snyder & associates team provided site development for the project, including all survey work performed by our own in-house survey crew. we also contacted all utility providers in the area to ensure a well-coordinated site development process.
an attractive, permanent pond with native plantings was added next to the hotel to collect stormwater runoff.
during the design process, our team recognized the need for enhanced stormwater mitigation efforts. to that end, a shared permanent pond was created between the hampton property and a neighboring facility for better stormwater management. extensive landscape plantings were also strategically added to the design to enhance the site and provide aesthetic balance.
